Busy Busy Busy

The last couple days have been very busy with “gosees”. A “gosee” is basically a meeting between Ash and a potential client. It’s a way of saying “Hi! I’m here and I’m available for work!” A lot of times you are zigzagging across town with gosees happening one right after another throughout the day. Sometimes literally you will have a gosee at 10am, then one at 11am that is an hour across town, then one at 12pm that is back where the first one was. Schedules could even change and rearrange in the middle of the day. So needless to say, you are on the subway quite a bit, and hardly have time to catch your breath. Ash is used to this sort of thing and is very familiar with the routine, having gone through this in New York, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore… but this is my first time so it’s a crazy thing!

So given this scenario, we don’t have much time for photo opportunities. But, I did happen to sneakily snap this photo of Ash napping on my shoulder on the train today. Hey, you gotta get your z’s in when you can!

Lunch never comes on time, and if I don’t eat, most everyone knows that I get crabby. Just ask Ash, I’m sure she would tell you. So I’ve learned to pack energy bars and snacks, and grab food while Ash is at a gosee. Luckily in London there is a cafe on just about every corner. I’ve learned to love Pret A Manger, specifically the Pole-and-Line Caught Tuna Mayo and Cucumber baguette with a sparkling Grape & Elderflower to drink. Yum!

Somehow, we were able to snap a shot of the sun! The sun is hard to come by in London, we’ve come to find out. So when it came out and blinded us by shining down this cobblestone alley, we had to whip out the phone.

And when we aren’t moving around underground, or napping on buses, we get to spot things like giant beach balls on top of buildings from the top deck of a double decker.

We’ve also found out that there is a Whole Foods here! So we have been grabbing food to prepare at home for dinner from Whole Foods on the way home each day.

Our view of Netflix as we eat our dinner in bed at the end of a long day. Oh, it appears this photo wasn’t taken around dinnertime, but it gets dark here at like 9:30pm, super weird.

Today’s Love

Ash

I loved that the sun came out today! And we got home earlier so we had time to eat dinner and unwind.

Corey

I agree that it was awesome to feel the sun’s warmth. It’s been cold and windy the last few days. I also love it when Ash falls asleep on me on the train. It’s something that she wouldn’t be able to do if I wasn’t here, and it gives her extra energy to make it through the day.
