The wedding will take place on Saturday August 11th, 2018 at 5pm in Hastings, Minnesota. Hastings is a quaint historical town nestled on the Mississippi River just thirty miles southeast of the Twin Cities.
Venue
Almquist Farm is a historical landmark in Hastings, Minnesota that was founded in 1878. It remains in the same family, now under fourth generation ownership. It is nestled on over 70 acres of rolling hills near the banks of the mighty Mississippi.
Travel & Lodging
The venue is located about 35 miles southeast of Minneapolis/Saint Paul International Airport, which has plenty of hotels very close by, including hotels directly connected to the Mall of America. However, any hotel in the Twin Cities metro area will work, and there are many to choose from. Staying on the Saint Paul side would be recommended as it is closer to the venue. If you do not plan on renting a car, the average price for an Uber/Lyft from MSP Airport to the venue is around $50.
Attire
Although we are having the wedding on a farm, we want this wedding to feel classic and timeless. The desired attire is formal, so men please wear suits or tuxes, and women please wear dresses. Please dress as if you were attending church. Also, keep in mind that this wedding is outdoors, so please wear shoes suitable for grass.
Registry & Gifts
We currently live in a tiny 500 square foot apartment in New York City. As such, we literally do not have room for many material things. That being said, please do not bring physical gifts. Also, we do not have a gift registry, but instead have set up a honeymoon fund that you may contribute to, here.
RSVP
It’s 2018! Our RSVP process is digital. You should only RSVP if you received an invitation in the mail, otherwise your name will not be in our system.
