Today we got to meet up with a friend who is also in London from the States, Elle. So today, Ash, Elle, and I decided to do something touristy together, and we thought a ride on The London Eye would be fun!
It was definitely worth it, the views and the photographs you can only get from the vantage point that it provides will last forever. Although there were some kids in our “pod” that kept us from getting some shots, all in all it was good time!
Some of the photos from the trip:

These kids had one of the most epic views. They were on the top floor of some sort of hotel, that was right behind the wheel, and facing the Thames and Big Ben and Westminster Palace. They were hilarious. This was while we were probably at about two o’clock on the wheel. They were making funny faces and poses as they saw me taking photos from the pod.
I was also able to get a quick 360° view via a 15 second Instagram video, here: https://instagram.com/p/bZaXtWwpYj/
Afterwards we strolled up and down the path from Westminster Bridge to Lambeth Bridge. Initially we were in search of a place to eat… but the cafe we were after was closed. So we headed back towards the Eye because that area is very packed with people and restaurants. We decided on a cafe with some outdoor seating and all ordered some tea. We sat and caught up and enjoyed the night and the good weather.

On our way home, we were able to follow Elle a little bit underground because our paths home were similar.

Bye Elle! Have fun on the rest of your trip through Europe!

Today I loved that we go to see London from a different view and that we got to meet up with Elle and see a good friend as if we were back in MN.

Today I loved that we got to ride the Eye! I’ve been staring at this iconic London structure almost daily. You can see it from everywhere peeking above the skyline! Finally got to go!
