Paris

First off, sorry that’s it’s been over a year! Wow. The time between Sydney and Paris were filled with family and friends, as well as a big move for Ash and I. We permanently moved to New York City this past Summer. We are living in Brooklyn, just one stop from Manhattan.

Back to Paris… which was kind of a random occurrence. Ash was already working in London, she’s been in London since the end of January working with Select. I randomly had the opportunity to work with a Casting Director during NYFW, and then traveled with his crew to Milan and Paris to work on shows for their respective fashion weeks. I spent less than 24 hours in Milan for one show, and then went on to Paris for about a week and a half where Ash met up with me.

We stayed on the sixth floor (top) of a walk up in the 8th District, near the Villiers metro stop. Yes, six floors, winding wooden stairs, multiple times per day. If you got ready for the day and walked all the way downstairs before remembering something like your phone, you’d pretty much be ready to leave it. But it was a good forced workout after eating at a lot of amazing places. It was the 4am after partying at Raspoutine climbs that were the worst.

We both loved the cuisine. Our favorite place was Le Dôme, at the main Villiers square.

We didn’t get to do touristy stuff as much as I would have liked, but we did visit and climb (more stairs, a lot of them) the Eiffel Tower. We got to witness being at the very top at sunset.

I’m going to let the photos do the rest of the talking.

Until we meet again…
