For my 30th birthday, Ashlee surprised me with a trip to Norway, where my Dad’s side of the family is from! I’ve always wanted to go. We flew into Bergen from NYC, and from there we rented a car and drove north toward Vik i Sogn, where the Tenold’s migrated to America from. It was very cool getting to see the Tenold farm where my family came from. I got to meet other Tenold’s, and also spoke with the local historian about my family history. We bought a big book from him with all of the Vik heritage in it.
